Parts Counter Sales Associate

Job Description

Thermo King of Knoxville is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Parts Associate to join our team in a Parts Counter role. Serve as the primary point of contact to assist customers and internal departments to acquire parts, product, units or any other materials needed.

• Assist customers at the parts counter by identifying, locating, and fulfilling parts orders accurately and efficiently
• Process parts transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges using parts management software
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with stock organization and receiving
• Place purchase orders as related to acquire materials needed by customers
• Look up parts using catalogs, manuals, and electronic databases for Thermo King and related equipment
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, technicians and vendors
• All other duties as assigned.

• Must have 2 years of experience in parts counter sales, automotive, transportation or related field preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to identify and look up parts using catalogs or electronic systems
• Strong computer skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a team-first attitude
• Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment as needed
• Forklift Certification
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift
