Position Summary
Full‑time permanent Forklift Operator / Material Handler at Ryder, Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Hourly Pay: $20.33 per hour;
Overtime Pay: $30.50 per hour;
Additional Pay: $1.25 per hour when assigned to second shift.
Schedule:
2nd Shift Monday – Friday 4:00 pm – 12:30 am.
- Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Carry out duties according to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
- Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during the core shift hour of production.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
- Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work within a diverse work environment.
- Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and dependable with good attendance.
- Ability to perform work with minimal supervision, demonstrate initiative, accuracy, and maintain high level of precision under pressure.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Use health and safety methods.
- Available to work flexibly across various shifts.
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
