Job Description & How to Apply Below

We’re looking for a Software Developer to join a collaborative technology team responsible for building, enhancing, and supporting custom software applications. This role is a great fit for a developer who enjoys solving business problems through technology, working across the full development lifecycle, and taking ownership of projects from requirements through deployment and ongoing support.

The Software Developer will partner closely with business analysts, developers, IT leadership, and other technical teams to translate business needs into effective software solutions. The role will work across multiple projects simultaneously and will have opportunities to contribute to technical decisions, improve development practices, and mentor less-experienced developers.

What You’ll Do
  • Translate business needs into clear functional, non-functional, and technical requirements.
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain custom applications and software solutions.
  • Build both server-side functionality and user-facing application components.
  • Evaluate proposed system changes and identify potential impacts across the organization.
  • Participate in Agile planning, team meetings, code discussions, and project activities.
  • Manage development work effectively across multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Follow strong software engineering practices, including automated testing and test-driven development where appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot application and system issues, identify root causes, and implement lasting solutions.
  • Participate in software testing, defect resolution, and production support activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation related to application configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and development approaches and make recommendations for potential adoption.
  • Contribute to IT initiatives and, when appropriate, take ownership of projects or coordinate work among team members.
  • Help guide and mentor Software Developer I team members.
  • Work with source control, build, and deployment processes using tools such as Git, TFS, and Octopus Deploy.
  • Contribute to initiatives involving system availability, disaster recovery, and application resilience.
  • Take on additional technical projects and responsibilities as business needs evolve.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional software development experience, ideally with increasing responsibility over time.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with C#, .NET, MVC, Type Script, Angular, and Web API.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and relational database environments.
  • Experience using Git and/or TFS for source control.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and automated deployment tools, particularly Octopus Deploy.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Understanding of application availability, disaster recovery, and highly available system design.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and VMware environments.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, networking concepts, data center environments, and end-user computing environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to understand problems across an end-to-end process.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement rather than simply addressing immediate issues.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support, mentor, and learn from other members of the team.
  • Professionalism, accountability, flexibility, and a customer-focused approach.
Why This Role

This is an opportunity to join a team where you’ll have meaningful ownership of software solutions while working closely with both technical and business stakeholders. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute beyond day-to-day coding including architecture, troubleshooting, process improvement, deployment, project work, and mentoring.
