• Four‑year degree from an accredited institution.
• New or current NC teaching certification in the assigned area.

• Build leadership among staff and administration to foster shared vision.
• Make instruction engaging, relevant, and meaningful, aligning with common core, essential standards, and 21st‑century content including global awareness, financial literacy, civic literacy, and health awareness.
• Teach core content incorporating critical thinking, problem‑solving, and ICT literacy.
• Facilitate instruction using a variety of methods and technology integration.
• Assess learning, support teamwork, and develop leadership qualities.
• Collaborate with families, adapt instruction for students with special needs, and promote fairness.
• Demonstrate ethical principles: honesty, integrity, fair treatment, respect.
• Serve as a team player, model continuous quality improvement, and uphold core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, customer‑driven focus, and fairness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Communicate orally and in writing with parents, staff, and community leaders.
• Possess finger dexterity and be able to perform basic life operational functions such as kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion.
