The role of an Install Technician II plays a pivotal role in the successful installation and implementation of security systems, ensuring that our clients' needs are met with the highest level of quality and professionalism.

Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain a wide range of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other security technologies.
- Run and terminate low‑voltage cabling, ensuring that all installations adhere to industry standards and best practices.
- Integrate and troubleshoot various security system components to ensure they function as a cohesive unit, offering clients a comprehensive security solution.
- Configure and program security equipment, such as cameras, access control panels, and alarms, according to project specifications and customer requirements.
- Perform system tests and inspections to ensure the installed systems operate efficiently and meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all installation activities, including wiring diagrams, configuration settings, and project documentation.
- Provide training and technical support to clients on system operation and functionality, addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards during installation projects to ensure a safe working environment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with security systems, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' operations.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to coordinate and execute installation projects within specified timelines and budgets.
- Other duties assigned within reason of current role previously specified.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics or related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of proven experience in the installation and maintenance of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection. Working on projects under $100K.
- 1–2 product‑specific certifications helpful (Lenel S2, Avigilon, Milestone, CCure 9000, Software House, AMAG).
- Industry‑specific certifications desired; must have or be able to obtain applicable state and/or local required industry licenses as required by state law.
- Intimate knowledge of field hardware.
- Ability to read and understand design drawings, PWS, requirements documents, and typical life safety and building codes.
- Ability to discern need for escalated support and communicate need for help.
- Must frequently lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- May require PPE such as safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, steel‑toed shoes or work boots, and safety vest; all items are the responsibility of the Electrical Installer to provide.
