* Job Description:

** The Student Health Coordinator & Medical Assistant plays a vital dual role supporting clinic operations and medical student health compliance. This position works closely with the College of Medicine’s Office of Student Affairs to manage student health requirements, referrals, and medically related excused absences—while also delivering high-quality clinical and front office support within the clinic.

This is a dual role ideal for an experienced MA who is highly organized, likes to problem solve, is patient-focused, and enjoys coordinating care across clinical and academic teams.
** What You’ll Do
**** Student Health Coordination:
*** Track medical student immunizations, screenings, and drug testing in Complio.
* Coordinate immunization clearance letters for clinical affiliates.
* Partner with the College of Medicine’s Office of Student Affairs to ensure compliance.
* Serve as a liaison for medically related excused absence requests.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school policies.
* Assist students and patients with specialty referrals based on location, insurance, and preference.
* Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance across all activities.
** Medical Assistant (Clinic Operations):
*** Assists with check-in, rooms patients, exams, and procedures.
* Obtain and document histories, vital signs, medications, and allergies.
* Perform phlebotomy and CLIA-waived lab testing.
* Assist with EHR documentation, prescription processing, referrals, and prior authorizations.
* Perform basic clinical procedures (e.g., EKGs, immunizations, suture removal, dressings, vision tests).
* Follow up on provider orders, labs, diagnostics, and referrals.
* Prepare and clean exam rooms and instruments per protocol.
* Peds experience is a plus
