Position: CARDIAC CATH LAB REGISTERED NURSE or Cath Lab Tech (RN)-Full Time

This Cath Lab Registered Nurse or Cath Lab Radiology Technologist position is full time, 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient flexible schedule.

Responsibilities and Duties

Cath Lab Registered Nurse – Provides direct patient care to adult patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the procedural/interventional environment. Communicates effectively with the physician and team members about patient condition. Assesses the procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Assists in obtaining supplies for individual cases and ensuring all appropriate needs of the cardiovascular lab team are met.

Monitors, positions and assists the patient during the procedure, and administers moderate sedation under the guidance of the Physician. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Cardiovascular Lab Radiology Technologist – Responsible for performing cardiovascular and interventional radiological procedures. Performs radiographic diagnostic and interventional procedures in the interventional service line, upon the order of a licensed practitioner. Provides optimal patient care applying departmental standards and protocols. Exercises professional judgment in performance of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology procedures. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

  • Responsible for admitting, recovering and discharging patients from the Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other health team members as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including post‑procedure assessments.
  • Approaches patient in a kind, gentle manner and treats patients and their families with respect and dignity, addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs.

Qualifications Regulatory Requirements – Technologist
  • Graduate of an accredited educational program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology Special Procedures or Cath Lab preferred.
  • Experience with scrubbing preferred.
  • Ability to participate in on‑call schedule on a regular basis for special procedures.
  • Qualifications – Registered Nurse
    • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Nevada.
    • Current POC license within 90 days.
    • Current BLS certification.
    • Current ACLS certification.
    • Minimum of one year experience in critical care.
