Store Associate​/Customer Service Representative

Customer Service & Sales Associate within eye care! No experience required

Are you someone who enjoys helping customers, working in a retail environment, and being part of a team? We're hiring a Customer Service & Optical Sales Associate to support a busy optical center. This role is perfect for candidates from retail, hospitality, wireless sales, banking, customer service, or store associate backgrounds looking for a stable career opportunity with growth potential.

You'll work directly with customers helping them through the eyewear purchasing process, answering questions, processing orders, and ensuring every customer has a positive experience.

Job Description

+ Greet customers and provide exceptional service throughout their visit.

+ Assist customers with eyewear orders and answer product-related questions.

+ Process sales transactions and payments accurately.

+ Verify insurance coverage and explain available benefits.

+ Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with inquiries.

+ Update customer information and maintain accurate records.

+ Support daily store operations, including filing, scanning, and administrative tasks.

+ Coordinate order updates and communicate with customers regarding their purchases.

+ Work closely with the optical team to ensure a smooth customer experience.

What We're Looking For

+ 0-1+ years of customer service, retail, cashier, sales, hospitality, or banking experience.

+ Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

+ Comfortable using computers and navigating multiple systems.

+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Experience

+ Retail sales or storefront experience.

+ Eyewear, optical, healthcare, or medical office experience.

+ Processing payments, orders, or insurance information.

+ Front desk or receptionist experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Spring Valley, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
