Quality Assurance Technician

Compensation:
Up to $50–59K

Summary

The QA Technician is responsible for performing routine SMT and mechanical receiving inspections to ensure products meet established quality standards. This onsite role partners closely with Operations and Engineering to support in‑house PCBA soldering modifications using clearly defined processes and documentation. The technician also contributes to root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives in support of continuous improvement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and mechanical inspections in accordance with documented quality procedures.
  • Conduct incoming SMT/PCBA inspections to verify conformance to specifications and standards.
  • Execute in‑house PCBA rework, soldering modifications, and changes as required.
  • Perform incoming mechanical inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Document inspection nonconformances and initiate return‑to‑vendor documentation; may participate in vendor conference calls as needed.
  • Accurately record inspection results and enter data into the ERP system.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts, including problem‑solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Opportunity to expand responsibilities to include cable and crimp inspection with training.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, SMT, quality inspection, or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience with mechanical inspection tools (calipers, micrometers).
  • Experience with microscope inspection and SMT soldering required.
  • IPC J‑STD‑001 and/or IPC‑A‑610 certification preferred.

Pay Details: $45,000.00 to $59,000.00 per year
