Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the daily operations of the accounting department which includes, but is not limited to, month-end close, cash management, reconciliations, cost accounting, consolidation, tax, and audit.
• Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close and consolidation of income statement and balance sheet, including account reconciliations and general ledger analysis.
• Assist in Finance and IT department initiatives, such as software and systems upgrades and implementation to improve operational data and insight.
• Ensuring entries are recorded accurately in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
• Additional duties as necessary.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Microsoft Excel Intermediate skills or better.

• Highly effective communicator and presenter (verbal, written).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, and thorough in work quality and output.
• Critical, strategic, and methodical thinker coupled with a balanced and professional approach.
• High intellectual curiosity with a propensity for process improvement.
• Relationship builder and able to influence others to ensure positive outcomes and win-win solutions.

• Periodic business travel will occur (estimated at approximately 5% percent), though frequency of travel could fluctuate from period to period based on growth and acquisition initiatives.

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may also be in a manufacturing plant environment in which Personal Protective Equipment must be worn. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
