Accounting Manager

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid or Remote for Exceptional Candidates)

Our client is a rapidly growing, multi-location organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA with strong technical accounting expertise who enjoys building processes, strengthening internal controls, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

This role will partner closely with finance leadership and play a key role in supporting financial reporting, operational accounting, treasury, and strategic growth initiatives.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including cash management, bank reconciliations, billing processes, and trust accounting.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and tax advisors to support audits and compliance requirements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and financial planning initiatives.
• Support acquisition-related accounting and integration projects.
• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team.
• Utilize ERP and accounting systems, including Net Suite, Quick Books, and industry-specific software, to support reporting and operational excellence.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external business partners.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required;
  Master's degree preferred.
• Active CPA license required.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3–5 years of accounting leadership or management experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and audit processes.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, Quick Books, and other accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and sound judgment.
