Kelly® is seeking a skilled Procurement Contracts Specialist to support a leading oil and gas client in Spring, TX. This is an onsite position, offering a competitive pay rate and an opportunity to directly impact a top client in the industry.
Location:
Spring, TX (Onsite 100%)
Pay Rate:
Up to $73.50/hr
Long‑term contract: 1 year (possibility of extension)
Key RoleServe as Category Strategy Advisor for Civil and/or Electrical & Instrumentation Services (E&I), including contract execution and market strategy development.
Main Functions- Manage a portfolio of agreements and new procurement requests with a focus on value, on‑time delivery, and streamlined cycle times.
- Negotiate contract pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers, collaborating with internal stakeholders to minimize risk and total system costs.
- Lead Procure‑to‑Pay (PtP) processes in compliance with company sourcing and acquisition standards.
- Maintain agreement documentation: scope, pricing, exhibits, and amendments.
- Monitor contract compliance, supplier performance, and troubleshoot as needed.
- Maximize transactional efficiency through effective use of procurement systems and tools.
- Foster strong internal and external business relationships.
- Identify business value and improvement opportunities within the contract portfolio.
- Develop and implement process improvements and strategic category guidance.
- Experience:
Minimum 5 years in procurement, contracts, or related fields. - Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. No degree required. - Contracting
Experience:
Civil (Construction Services), Electrical or Instrumentation Trades preferred. - Functional
Skills:
Strong PtP knowledge, technical procurement proficiency, system efficiency, risk and cost analysis, contract development and management, negotiation, relationship building. - Behavioral
