Part Time Buyer II

Our client, a leading organization in the industry, is seeking a Buyer II to join their team. As a Buyer II, you will be part of the procurement department supporting multiple business lines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, analytical thinking, effective communication, and a customer‑focused approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Part Time Buyer II
Location: Spring, TX
Pay Range: Up to $47/hr
Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)
Schedule: Part time (3 days/week - 24 hours/week)

• Purchases spot equipment, materials, chemicals, catalysts, and service requirements for various business lines.
• Processes requisitions and converts them into purchase orders daily.
• Collects proposals from vendors and conducts simple negotiations on pricing and terms.
• Addresses invoice discrepancies and approves invoice payments, including additional freight costs.
• Supports project or turnaround purchases and liaises with strategic buyers for potential bundling.

• Experience in procurement, specifically in PtP Procure-to-Pay systems and processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage purchase order maintenance and data wrangling tasks.
• Knowledge of contract development and management.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
