Position Highlights- Responsible for general gynecological care of women, but also provide care related to pregnancy and the reproductive system.
- OB/GYNs are concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of general health problems, but they focus on ailments specific to the female anatomy, such as breast and cervical cancer, urinary tract and pelvic disorders, and hormonal disorders.
- Specialize in childbirth, treating and counseling women throughout their pregnancy, from giving prenatal diagnoses, to delivery, and postpartum care.

Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic, a part of Optum, is Houston's premier multispecialty group practice, founded in 1949 by Dr. Mavis Kelsey in Houston's renowned Texas Medical Center. It offers quality medical care in 65 medical specialties and operates the largest freestanding Ambulatory Surgery Center in Texas. The clinic features state‑of‑the‑art Varian True Beam and Varian Edge radiation therapy technology, an accredited Sleep Center, comprehensive laboratory services, advanced imaging and diagnostics, and on‑site pharmacies.
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an approved training program from an accredited medical school, residency or fellowship program upon hire.
- Licensed in the State of Texas.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Must have completed residency and be in practice or in residency when applying.
Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $291,500 to $501,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and performance. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, 401k contribution, and other programs subject to eligibility requirements.
