Locations- Oak Ridge Young Learners Academy - 25511 Richards Rd., Spring, TX 77386
- The Woodlands Young Learners Academy - 1500 Woodstead Ct., Spring, TX 77380
- $10-$15 per hour depending upon experience

- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Two years of experience working in a preschool teaching capacity or similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- CPR & First Aide certification
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for leading, or otherwise assisting with, instructional personnel at the preschool level to conduct preschool and child development activities, preparing instructional materials, as well as adhering to company policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Supervises children in all activities
- Prepares materials used in instructional activities
- Leads indoor and outdoor activities that are planned by the teacher
- Performs play area supervision and guides students into safe play activities
- Collecting and organizing data on student learning
- Assists students to develop communication skills and serves as an appropriate language model
- Maintains discipline in a firm, consistent and positive manner
- Assists children with toileting and changing those who have experienced toileting accidents
- May assist students to develop self‑help skills
- Performs routine first aid and seek assistance for non‑routine illnesses and injuries
- Attend meetings and participate in training workshops, conferences, courses and a variety of professional growth activities as required
- Performs minor housekeeping tasks in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly and safe classroom atmosphere
- Participate in specified team meetings, Open House meetings, fundraisers and other designated company events (Specified by Director or Lead Instructor)
- Record‑keeping and report preparation techniques
- Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary
- Communicate effectively with children and adults both orally and in writing
- Observe and assist student learning
- Demonstrate patience, respect and understanding of others
- Work independently with minimal direction
- Be flexible and able to work as a team member
- Plan and organize work
- Maintain records and prepare reports
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Perform other duties as assigned
