Job Title
Field Operator III – Production
Compensation$66.15/hour (1099)

ScopeThe Field Operator III operates production equipment and wells in accordance with established operating and safety procedures. This position supports the daily operational plan, reduces equipment failures, and promotes the efficient use of resources.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Execute daily work objectives while maintaining housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security standards.
- Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and regularly scheduled safety meetings.
- Continuously monitor wells and equipment to identify and implement corrective or optimization actions.
- Maintain reliable, efficient, and safe operating conditions.
- Function as an Equipment Care Technician and perform routine, basic maintenance activities.
- Report when alarm, emergency, or emergency shutdown systems are out of service.
- Provide detailed, accurate shift-change information to maintain operational continuity.
- Coordinate, control, and monitor corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Record relevant operational events, abnormal conditions, and deviations in the operating logbook.
- Collect product samples for laboratory analysis and perform field laboratory tests.
- Participate in emergency-response activities.
- Report incidents internally and elevate awareness according to established incident-reporting guidelines.
- Keep the Operations Shift Supervisor informed and consulted regarding operational activities.
- Maintain effective communication across the work team to ensure issues and action items are properly addressed.
- Provide information regarding well-production problems, current production rates, and well conditions.
- Ensure well-problem diagnostics are thorough and complete before requesting Well Work intervention.
- Ensure wellheads and surface equipment are maintained and in good working order before responsibility is transferred to Well Work personnel.
- Assist and support ongoing Well Work operations as needed.
- Completed secondary education.
- Previous experience as a Field Technician.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, health, and environmental performance.
- Extensive knowledge or experience in pipeline operations.
- Extensive knowledge of safety and operations-management tools and processes.
- Strong knowledge of emergency-preparedness procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of project philosophy and design specifications.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations.
- Knowledge of relevant commercial agreements.
- Oil and gas production experience.
- Control-room experience.
