We are seeking a detail‑oriented Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Estimator to support projects across pipelines, facilities, stations, and broader Oil & Gas infrastructure. In this role, you will develop accurate, competitive cost estimates while partnering closely with Operations, Project Managers, Supply Chain, and cross‑functional teams. This is a key position supporting safe, efficient, and high‑quality project execution.
What You’ll Do
- Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates using approved tools, historical data, labor metrics, and standard methodologies.
- Review RFQs and project documentation including P&IDs, one-line diagrams, loop sheets, specs, and scopes of work.
- Perform material and labor take‑offs for conduit, cable, terminations, devices, instrumentation, grounding, controls, and other I/E components.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site walkdowns to identify cost drivers, scope constraints, and constructability considerations.
- Obtain and validate vendor quotes, subcontractor pricing, and material proposals in collaboration with Supply Chain.
- Document all estimate assumptions including labor factors, crew sizes, productivity, and exclusions.
- Maintain and update historical pricing, cost databases, benchmarks, and estimating templates.
- Support value engineering initiatives by identifying cost‑saving alternatives or more efficient installation approaches.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, HSE, Supply Chain, and Project Management to ensure estimates reflect real field conditions and execution strategies.
- Prior experience in I&E estimating or I/E field work supporting estimate development.
- Working knowledge of Oil & Gas construction practices related to:
- Compressor & pump stations
- Production & processing facilities
- Measurement stations
- Instrumentation & electrical system installations
- Strong Excel proficiency; familiarity with MS Project preferred.
- Experience with Accubid or similar estimating software is beneficial.
Education & Technical Skills
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred (equivalent field experience accepted).
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop sheets, schematics, panel layouts, and one‑line diagrams.
- Understanding of NEMA, NEC, and industry standards is a plus.
