Job DescriptionAs a Signal Integrity Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, you will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and validation of high‑speed digital and analog circuits for next‑generation server, storage, and networking products. You will work closely with hardware design, PCB layout, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure our products meet stringent electrical performance standards.
Responsibilities- Perform signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis for high‑speed digital interfaces using simulation tools.
- Collaborate with hardware and PCB‑layout engineers to optimize designs for signal integrity, including stack‑up definition, trace routing, via design, and connector selection.
- Generate simulation models and perform pre‑ and post‑layout simulations to identify and address potential SI/PI issues.
- Define and review PCB design rules and guidelines to ensure compliance with HPE and industry standards.
- Develop test plans and perform SI/PI lab measurements and validation using oscilloscopes, VNAs, TDRs, and other high‑speed measurement equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SI/PI issues during product development and validation phases.
- Document analysis results, design guidelines, and best practices; communicate findings and recommendations to cross‑functional teams.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to signal integrity, power integrity, and high‑speed design.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Typically 2‑5 years experience.
- Solid understanding of high‑speed digital design concepts, transmission line theory, and electromagnetic fundamentals.
- Hands‑on experience with SI/PI simulation tools such as Keysight ADS, Cadence Sigrity, Ansys HFSS, Mentor Hyper Lynx, etc.
- Experience with high‑speed measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, TDR, VNA, etc.).
- Experience in PCB design and layout is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in server, storage, or networking hardware design is desirable.

SalaryAnnual salary USD 71,500 – 164,400 for Texas. Base salary; variable incentives may also be offered.
