Main Functions
  • Provide guidance to support the Reservoir Leadership Team in achieving desired performance objectives.
  • Support and advise the Reservoir Leadership Team to maintain high technical standards.
  • Develop plans and programs as required by the Reservoir Management team.
  • Guide and support reservoir engineers to establish and implement plans that meet reservoir engineering requirements.
  • Act as a reservoir simulation subject matter expert, with strong hands‑on and oversight capability.
  • Build, run, and evaluate dynamic reservoir models using industry‑standard modeling software (Petrel and INTERSECT).
  • Conduct and guide detailed history matching and production forecasting to support development planning scenarios.
  • Perform and/or guide simulation and other studies to evaluate depletion strategies, development options, and technical issues.
  • Perform all related studies necessary to support simulation work, including:
  • Inflow/outflow analysis
  • SCAL and other laboratory evaluations
  • Perform depletion plan assessments to support asset acquisition evaluations.
  • Lead and/or participate in peer reviews to ensure high technical standards are maintained.
  • Provide technical input to drilling, facilities, subsurface, and other teams to support integrated project execution.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced reservoir engineers in simulation, modeling, and development planning studies.
  • Document results in clear, comprehensive written reports and graphical presentations.
  • Provide timely, focused updates of results and plans to management, partners, and stakeholders.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop project‑specific reservoir strategies with the Project Team to address identified risks and technical challenges.
  • Support risk assessments and reservoir studies as defined in the Project Risk Management Plan.
  • Support uncertainty analysis, probabilistic forecasting, and value of information (VOI) assessments for data acquisition and development planning.
  • Ensure subsurface risks and uncertainties are incorporated into development planning scenarios and forecasts.
  • Share safety‑related lessons learned across projects and within the company.
  • Facilitate Reservoir Team meetings as required.
  • Perform additional reservoir studies and technical evaluations as assigned by the Reservoir Leadership Team.
  • Maintain a high degree of ethical conduct and professional integrity.
  • Adapt effectively in a work environment with shifting priorities.
  • Prepare and deliver high‑quality technical presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Provide regulatory compliance support as required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in senior‑level Reservoir Engineering roles within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Exceptional knowledge of reservoir engineering fundamentals and best practices.
  • Strong expertise in reservoir simulation, including hands‑on experience with Petrel and INTERSECT.
  • Proven experience conducting history matching, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support field development planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, calibrate, run, and interpret dynamic reservoir models.
  • Ability to independently identify technical issues, propose solutions, and execute reservoir evaluations.
  • Willingness and capability to direct, review, and mentor the work of less experienced engineers.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills across technical and management levels.
  • High level of initiative, problem‑solving ability, and flexibility in managing uncertainty.
  • Ability to work under pressure in an environment that requires high standards of customer service, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
  • Working knowledge of reservoir management processes, standards, and expectations.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in an integrated, multidisciplinary project team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard industry engineering tools.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Training will be provided as needed.
