Job Summary
This analyst position coordinates with petro-technical team members and other Business Unit (BU) division analysts to support EXE’s integrated planning process. This role involves aspects of logistics management, GIS planning, financial analysis and basic operational decision making. This team member will facilitate existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, provide technical analysis, and create reporting tools. This role may require some travel, at least initially, between the corporate EXE office in Spring, TX and the Operations office in Oklahoma City, OK for cross-training and knowledge sharing with other BU Planning Analysts and key stakeholders.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Coordinates sourcing and evaluation of development projects, incorporating input from all disciplines within the Business Unit
- Consolidates projects and team input into an executable business plan
- Gathers and consolidates input from field personnel, identify opportunities to mitigate operational and logistical risks
- Maintains operational development schedules, verifies timing assumptions, and distributes schedules on a weekly basis to the wider team
- Maintains development inventory layer in GIS, works with Reservoir, Land & Geology team to ensure alignment across different systems
- Identifies opportunities to optimize development and activity plans
- Maintains agenda and action item tracking for multi-disciplinary teams working on development plans
- Coordinates data transfer and updates shared data sources among departments
- Applies skills and concepts to ensure data integrity, data reliability, and data accessibility throughout the group
- Performs data management activities, which include report/tool creation, loading/entering, verifying, manipulating, analyzing, and reporting data related to planning operation
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Strong communication and coordination skills across both office and field personnel
- General knowledge of oil and gas operations, field development planning
- Ability to use rigorous logic and critical thinking to solve complex problems effectively
- Ability to build analytical tools using standard industry and corporate software
- Ability to learn and apply new concepts
Minimum:
High school diploma or GED
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering Technology, Math, Science, or a related field
Minimum: 5 – 8 years related work experience
