Job Description
The Senior Facilities / Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating and supporting engineering activities to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role provides technical leadership for engineering design, risk assessment, operational support, process optimization, and facility improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, operational knowledge, and leadership capabilities while effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders. This position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate engineering work performed internally and by contractors to ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Support execution of engineering and design activities aligned with operational goals and project objectives.
- Participate in and lead risk assessments, HAZOP studies, Hazard Hunts, and Critical Operating Parameter Reviews.
- Lead incident investigations related to downtime, operational reliability, and process safety events.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and support development of project scopes and execution plans.
- Conduct risk assessments for new and existing facilities and support closure of mitigation action items.
- Lead plant performance testing, operational trials, and optimization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain operating guidelines and procedures for facilities and operations.
- Provide technical support and coordination across engineering, operations, maintenance, and project teams.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and team members to support technical growth and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication regarding engineering progress, risks, and technical issues.
- Support troubleshooting, reliability improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with applicable engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline required; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- 8-10 years of engineering experience in oil & gas, industrial, chemical, energy, or related industries required.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, applicable codes, and safety requirements.
- Experience participating in or leading HAZOPs, risk assessments, and process safety reviews.
- Experience supporting facility operations, troubleshooting, and process optimization initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
- EPC experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with the ability to support team development.
Pay: $120/per hr

Monday-Friday
Location:
Spring, TX, occasional travel to Midland, TX
