Engineering Technical Program Manager

Overview

As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver engineering and product development initiatives on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with HPE's strategic goals.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a program involving multiple functions and project teams to drive engineering development and implementation for a product or service offering.
  • Develop and direct schedules, critical deliverables, budgets, resource allocation, and support requirements for the assigned program.
  • Monitor program activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners, ensuring progress against established plans and making adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders and collaborate with manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes.
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities.
  • Lead and provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or a related field.
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience in program or project management within engineering or technology environments.
  • Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and implementation processes.
  • PMP or PMI certification preferred.
  • Experience with High‑Performance Computing (HPC) environments is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Extensive experience using project and program planning tools to create, manage, and track results.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and business acumen.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and mastery of English.
  • Ability to effectively communicate program plans, negotiate at senior management level, and translate technical concepts into practical applications.
  • Capability to apply AI for data analysis, research, and content generation.
