Location:
Spring, TX, US, 77389
- Provide reservoir engineering technical expertise to Conventional Oil & Gas development. Work with multi‑discipline teams to support optimal asset development, reservoir management, and site screening.
- Leverage fundamental reservoir engineering and reservoir simulation skills in reservoir characterization, development planning, opportunity generation, and production/injection optimization.
- Position located at Exxon Mobil campus in Spring, Texas.
- Perform reservoir modeling and simulation to support conventional and/or deepwater developments.
- Conduct reservoir depletion planning and field development planning.
- Perform reserves assessments and identify production or injection optimization opportunities.
- Plan, evaluate, and/or execute appraisal and field development / drill well programs.
- Identify key reservoir uncertainties and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Improve reservoir description through fluid analysis, core evaluation, well testing interpretation, and production performance analysis.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required – preferably Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical. Advanced Degrees (Master’s / PhD) also welcome.
- Minimum of 8 and maximum of 20 years of industry experience in Conventional Reservoir Engineering.
- Reservoir simulation experience in new developments and/or producing assets (including constructing, updating and history matching models).
- Self‑motivated and focused on achieving business results while working in a multi‑disciplinary team in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated teamwork and strong communication skills are essential.
- Previous experience in reservoir analytical performance prediction, asset development and depletion planning, reserves assessment, reservoir surveillance & optimization, volumes forecasting, economic analysis and data management.
