Job Description Under general supervision, applies functional specifications and uses engineering tools to design analogue and digital electronic circuits and/or firmware for downhole, subsea and surface interface systems Uses software tools or applications to analyse and conduct tests on electronic circuits or systems and document performance in comparison with design criteria Identifies the testing requirement at a system level with the emphasis on complying with test standards and Halliburton's Health, Safety, and Environment procedures and evaluates test results Independent preparation of component specifications, design documentation and preparation for design reviews Contributes to reliability analysis such as risk assessments and Failure Mode Effects Analysis by compiling and examining data Contributes to Halliburton's Intellectual Property portfolio by preparing Invention Disclosures and recognizing ideas that have IP potential without disclosing confidential information Works as integral part of multi-discipline team including Electronics Hardware Engineering, Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, assembly and test, and Software teams

Qualifications Skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline with a minimum of 2 years' experience. Completion of a Masters in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred Experienced in Analogue and Digital electronics design Experienced in Software/Firmware design, particularly Embedded C programming on microcontrollers Experienced in Troubleshooting and diagnose prototype and production tools Experienced in Design of electronic test programmes Experienced in Specification of electromechanical systems Experienced in PCB schematic capture and layout design using Altium software or similar Experienced in High temperature and rugged electronic design Candidates with qualifications exceeding the minimum job requirements will be considered for higher-level positions based on their experience, additional job requirements, and current business needs.
