Rotation: 5/40-50 hours per week

Position Overview

This Electrical Engineer II opportunity is suited to a technically strong engineer who can support electrical infrastructure planning within an oil and gas environment. The Electrical Engineer II will contribute to engineering and design activities, ensuring work aligns with company specifications, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements. This Electrical Engineer II position offers the chance to work on infrastructure expansion and operational support, with a focus on coordination, analysis, and clear communication across engineering activities.

The role would suit an Electrical Engineer II who is comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities and technically complex project demands.

Role Context

This position sits within the oil and gas sector and supports electrical infrastructure planning related to expansion and ongoing operations in the Permian. The working environment involves coordinating engineering activity connected to new electrical loads, project prioritisation, and project readiness across electrical construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and comment on electrical engineering work performed internally and by contractors and sub-contractors to support compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system design activities.
  • Assign new electrical loads to appropriate infrastructure components.
  • Coordinate the prioritisation of electrical construction projects based on new electrical loads being added.
  • Monitor the status and readiness of electrical projects.
  • Analyse and propose opportunities to consolidate electrical loads.
  • Support effective execution of electrical engineering and design routines aligned to team objectives and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely communication on engineering activities, progress, and issues.
  • Contribute to research activity to support development of solutions or new products.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
  • Strong technical communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
