Exxon Mobil's state‑of‑the‑art campus north of Houston serves as the home of its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors on 385 wooded acres just west of I‑45, approximately 25 miles from downtown Houston.
What role you will play in our teamWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Counsel to tackle complex challenges within a Fortune 50 multinational corporation. You will advance tax strategies, advise on major transactions, and broaden your tax technical skills across the business.
What will you do- Develop and implement tax planning strategies that align with business objectives through collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Stay updated on tax laws, policies, regulations and industry trends.
- Analyze business operations, transactions and investments to identify potential tax issues, opportunities and risk‑management strategies associated with global value chains.
- Support tax‑related matters related to mergers, acquisitions and divestments.
- Analyze complex tax issues and recommend practical and strategic solutions.
- Distill recent legislation and regulations into practical guidance for the tax compliance organization.
We are seeking an attorney with a strong background in value‑chain tax, who possesses the following qualifications:
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of tax planning experience.
- Minimum of a J.D.
- Licensed to practice law in at least one state.
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Tax LL.M. preferred.
- Collaborates effectively with colleagues, clients and support functions.
