The Director will provide significant contribution to the accounting function for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. The role has full responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate filing of Form 10‑Q and Form 10‑K, providing support to the IR team during the earnings process, security analyst meetings, and all other external filings with the SEC. The Director will work closely with EY, IR, GBU finance teams, corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax and others to ensure timely and accurate SEC filings.
The Director will communicate and drive adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization’s financial goals and policies.
Success depends on a strong knowledge of US GAAP, familiarity with SEC reporting guidelines, strong writing skills, and an eagerness to understand HPE’s business operations. The role requires engagement with external auditors (EY), Legal, Corporate FP&A, Close Reporting, and partners in the business and Corporate functions. This position is based at our HQ in Spring, TX.
Education And Experience Required- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, finance, business, accounting (e.g., CPA (or equivalent), MBA) preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in a finance function. Big Four public accounting experience is a plus.
- Experience with technology industry and international companies preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles under US GAAP. Technical knowledge on Contract Manufacturing Agreements, Product Financing Arrangements, Vendor Rebates, Standard Costing, Excess & Obsolescence reserves.
- Experience in researching and interpreting complex technical accounting and financial reporting issues.
- Excellent project management skills.

- Experience in business applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SAP).

Salary and CompensationThe expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.
United States of America:
Annual Salary USD 143, in Texas. The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
