As HPE transitions into a networking-led, AI-enabled infrastructure leader, the Vice President, Head of Investor Relations (IR) will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, shaping the company's long-term investment narrative during this pivotal phase. The VP IR will lead efforts to enhance market understanding, broaden the shareholder base, and support the company's growth agenda through compelling storytelling, strategic positioning, and operational excellence within the IR function.
Strategic Narrative Development:
Translate HPE's platform evolution, including recent acquisitions like Juniper Networks, and its integrated networking, compute, data management, hybrid cloud, and AI infrastructure strategies into a differentiated investment story that emphasizes long-term value creation.
Executive Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and senior management, providing guidance on investor communications, market positioning, and capital markets strategy. Lead proactive engagement with institutional investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders to articulate HPE's transformation and long-term growth prospects.
IR Infrastructure & Process Management: AI-forward mindset and willingness to adopt AI (GenAI, Agentic AI) to modernize IR. Design and implement scalable IR processes, including earnings cycle activities, investor materials, Board reporting, and the deployment of systems that support rigorous, high-quality investor engagement. Introduce workflow efficiencies to enhance consistency, transparency, and strategic impact.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Positioning:
Monitor investor sentiment, macroeconomic trends, and competitive landscape shifts. Provide insights to leadership to refine messaging and capitalize on market opportunities aligned with HPE's networking, AI, and hybrid cloud strategies.
Broader Shareholder Development:
Expand and diversify the investor base by targeting long-term, conviction-driven institutional investors aligned with HPE's multi-market, AI, and infrastructure growth story.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with strategy, product, legal, finance, and corporate communications teams to ensure message consistency, mitigate risks, and reinforce the company's long-term strategic themes.
Thought Leadership & Industry Representation:
Demonstrate thought leadership by coaching executives on market positioning, influencing external perceptions, and establishing HPE as a leader in next-generation enterprise infrastructure.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience with leading an IR function within a large, publicly traded company, with established credibility to communicate complex strategic initiatives to sophisticated global investors and analysts.
- Ability to craft and communicate complex technical and strategic concepts into clear, compelling narratives for sophisticated investors.
- Operational expertise in IR infrastructure, including process design, data management, earnings cycle management, and stakeholder engagement systems.
- Strong executive presence, strategic thinking, and alignment-building skills across highly matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence at the C-level and across functions, with a collaborative, team-first leadership style.
- Minimum 12 years of experience, often including 8+ years of people management experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Highly Preferrable:
- Deep understanding of technology markets, especially networking, AI infrastructure, hybrid cloud, and enterprise solutions.
- MBA highly desired, or advanced university degree.
