Overview
As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) at Bank of America, your journey starts with obtaining Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series7 and Series
66). You will receive dedicated training and one‑on‑one coaching from Academy managers, and learn to acquire, build and manage client relationships, assess financial situations, and provide comprehensive advice to help clients reach their financial goals. After meeting milestones, you will work in a financial center delivering core banking and investment solutions. On success, you can progress to Financial Solutions Advisor StageII and explore additional roles within Bank of America and Merrill.
Position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system, complete a background check, and maintain registration. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in immediate termination.
Earn your Security Industry Essentials (SIE) within 30 days of hire and Series7 and Series
66 within 120 days—a requirement for the role. Structured lessons and dedicated study time will support exam preparation.
- Build and maintain a client network across banking, small‑business, and high‑net‑worth clients.
- Deliver comprehensive advice and client reviews/presentations, recommending strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Collaborate with core banking and investment partners to meet clients’ needs.
- Establish relationships and deepen business within a portfolio of clients.
If selected, you will train at a financial center and may start in a phone‑based capacity until a suitable local location is available, within reasonable commuting distance.
Required Qualifications- Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses.
- Must be self‑disciplined in managing time and capacity.
- Experience in cultivating client relationships, accessing needs and recommending solutions.
- Success creating strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
- Demonstrates a results‑driven mindset while prioritizing client’s interest in a complex, fast‑paced environment.
- Executes multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Learns and adapts to new technology or applications.
- Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE).
- Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience.
