Job Summary
Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Breast Center is actively seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mammographer to support in a full‑time capacity.
- Full‑time, Day Shift – 4/10 hour shifts, Monday‑Friday + one Saturday per month (clinic closes at 1:30 PM).
- OT available for those who wish to work additional hours (not required).

- Perform mammography radiographic exams, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures: prepare patients, explain the procedure, administer contrast when necessary, position patients, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of images.
- Help maintain appropriate patient flow and deliver quality services in the imaging department.
- Act as a resource and mentor to staff and less experienced technologists, introducing and demonstrating new techniques.
- Review incomplete exam lists and unsigned report status routinely.
- Function as a liaison between physicians, technologists, and department support staff.
- Enter and monitor patient data and health history as pertinent to the exam performed.
- Perform quality assurance on mammography equipment, recommend equipment modifications, identify and help resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Complete initial and renewal applications for ACR and any other accreditation.
- Maintain safety, environmental, and infection control procedures for the department.
- Help schedule technologists to ensure appropriate staffing based on expected patient volume.
- Intervene with patients to help resolve complaints and issues.
- Manage supply inventory and take emergency call within the department.
- Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors; adhere to all organization policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
- Promote professional growth and development by meeting mandatory/continuing education and skill competency requirements.
- Model compassionate, personalized patient care consistent with the organization’s service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology;
Graduate of an approved program of mammography technology. - Licenses/Certifications:
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
- Registered Radiology Technologist by ARRT (ARRT‑R).
- Registered Mammography Technologist by ARRT (ARRT‑M).
- Experience: At least four (4) years of prior experience as a Mammography Technologist.
- Demonstrated ability to perform quality control and stereotactic exams.
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
