LSOTP (License Sexual Offender Therapist Professional)
About the PositionOur organization seeks a professional LSOTP and services to include individual, group, and family interventions to youth with mental health needs and sexual behavior problems under the supervision of Residential Treatment Centers (RTC).
As a board certified professional you must have a standing within the State of Texas Reimbursement. You must be a Medicaid provider with the ability to bill Superior Health for your services rendered whether services are provided at our campus location on off-site.
Duties and Responsibilities- Responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy-based interventions to youth who have sexual behavior problems and other mental health needs.
- Also consults and communicates with inpatient sex offender treatment programs to facilitate coordination of care.
- Conducts mental health and specialized court ordered psychosexual risk assessment to identify risk and protective factors, provide placement considerations and guide treatment needs.
- Provides testimony in court when necessary to discuss evaluation findings and treatment progress.
- Maintains clear, timely, and concise documentation of treatment efforts in electronic medical records.
- Provides case consultation to RTC community-based advocates from the Therapeutic Connections Unit regarding behavioral, adjustment issues, case planning, and treatment needs.
- Conducts trainings/seminars for staff or trainees related to youth with sexual behavior problems.
Education: MS/MA or Ph.D. from an accredited college or university.
Licensures: Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider (LSOTP)
