Part‑time | Minimum 4 shifts per month.
Position SummaryNext Care Urgent Care is seeking an energetic and patient‑focused Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a part‑time basis at our Spring, TX clinic. This role requires a minimum commitment of four (4) 12‑hour shifts per month, including occasional weekends and holidays based on clinic needs. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is comfortable caring for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in accordance with clinical best practices in an urgent care and/or occupational health setting
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and patient‑centered care aligned with Next Care’s mission and values
- Communicate treatment plans and follow‑up instructions clearly to patients
- Document care accurately using the electronic health record (EHR)
- Take responsibility for appropriate coding and billing for services rendered
- Maintain clinical productivity consistent with peers and industry standards
- Follow up on patient care as clinically indicated
- Practice medicine ethically, legally, and professionally
- Active, unrestricted Texas medical license (PA or NP)
- Active DEA registration
- NCCPA certification (Physician Assistant) or ANCC/AANP certification (Nurse Practitioner)
- Nurse Practitioners must be board‑certified to treat all age groups (Family Nurse Practitioner)
- Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner studies
- Active BLS certification
- Comfortable treating patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
- Availability to work a minimum of four (4) 12‑hour shifts per month, including occasional weekends and holidays
- DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training provided at no cost)
- Experience with initial X‑ray interpretation prior to radiologist over‑read
- Suturing experience
- Previous experience in urgent care, emergency department fast‑track, or walk‑in medical clinic settings
