Hospice Director of Nursing - Spring, TX
We are looking for a compassionate and professional Registered Nurse with leadership experience in hospice care to lead our hospice clinical team in Houston, TX. This role offers competitive pay, 5 weeks of PTO plus 9 holidays per year, and wonderful team support.

About this PositionThis leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered end‑of‑life care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and professional standards in a hospice start‑up environment. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who is passionate about supporting patients, families, and staff during some of life’s most meaningful moments.
Essential Functions- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all hospice nursing services
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and standards of care
- Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff to promote excellence and accountability
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and clinical operations
- Monitor quality assurance, performance improvement, and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Participate in strategic planning and support organizational growth
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support quality patient outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required;
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred. - Current license as a registered nurse (RN) in Texas.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hospice or home health experience.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of hospice regulations and standards.
- Home Care Home Base experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Reliable transportation and valid, current auto liability insurance.
