Mammography Technologist – Per Diem
Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Mammography Technologist will utilize equipment that produces ionizing radiation to obtain images for diagnostic purposes according to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic. The technician will perform Mammography and DEXA studies and use the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS system. May be assigned to other duties, technical or non‑technical if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Obtain diagnostic mammography and DEXA images under physician orders following department policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Operate mammography equipment and ensure quality assurance measures are met.
- Utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS system for record‑keeping and image storage.
- Assist with additional technical or non‑technical duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High School diploma or GED
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program. 40 hours mammography training approved by the ARRT and 25 supervised exams to meet the minimum initial FDA & TMB requirements for mammographers
- ARRT (R) MRT‑General Certificate
- Employee must attain ARRT(M) within one year of eligibility
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Experience using Microsoft. Working knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements
- Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- For Per Diem Mammography Technologist II:
- 40 hours mammography training approved by the ARRT to meet the minimum initial FDA & TMB requirements for mammographers
- ARRT (R)(M) MRT‑General Certificate
- 2+ years of experience in mammography or 1+ years of KSC experience in X-ray and/or SCNB experience
- PACS and RIS experience
Hourly pay ranges from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full‑time employment. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (subject to eligibility requirements). We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
