Job Description

We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Receptionist / Insurance Verification specialist to join our healthcare team in Spring, TX. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and insurance verification processes.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule patient appointments accurately.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
  • Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve coverage issues and obtain necessary authorizations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage patient records and ensure accurate data entry into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Assist with billing and payment processing as needed.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and communication.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist or insurance verification role preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and billing procedures.
  • Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with patients and staff.
