Role Description The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is a full-time, on-site role based in Spring, TX. The EMT will provide pre-hospital emergency medical care and safe transport for pediatric patients, following established clinical protocols and safety procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, assessing patient conditions, providing appropriate basic life support interventions, and communicating clearly with dispatch, partner agencies, and receiving facilities.

The EMT will assist paramedics and other clinical staff, operate and maintain medical equipment and ambulance vehicles, and complete accurate, timely patient care reports and documentation. The role also involves participating in ongoing training, maintaining readiness of equipment and supplies, and delivering compassionate, family-centered care under sometimes stressful conditions.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Emergency Services and Emergency Medical Services (EMS), with the ability to perform pre-hospital pediatric care.
  • Current certification through the U.S. National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and state EMT licensure as required.
  • Knowledge of basic Medicine principles relevant to EMS practice, including patient assessment and life support interventions.
  • Experience working alongside Paramedic-level providers in field or transport settings, or readiness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited EMT program required.
  • CPR/BLS certification; PALS or other pediatric-focused certifications are highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, and commitment to patient and family-centered care.
  • Ability to lift and move patients and equipment safely, and to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Clean driving record and ability to meet employer and state requirements for ambulance operation, if driving duties are assigned.
