DEMENTIA CAREGIVER NEEDED

Navasota , Texas

Always Best Care Senior Services – The Woodlands is looking for a compassionate, dependable caregiver to provide dedicated care for a male client living with dementia in the Navasota area. Interviews to be held in Brenham TX

This is an opportunity for a caregiver who enjoys building relationships, engaging clients in meaningful activities, and providing both hands‑on assistance and companionship.

PAY: $16.00 PER HOUR

We are offering $16 per hour for this specific dementia-care opportunity.

ABOUT THE CLIENT & POSITION

We are seeking a caregiver who is patient, engaging, dependable, and comfortable working with a client who has active care needs related to dementia.

The ideal caregiver will enjoy more than simply completing a checklist of tasks. This client enjoys playing dominoes, games, conversation, and participating in activities with his caregiver.

We are looking for someone who will take the time to engage with him, encourage participation, provide companionship, and help create a positive and structured day.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Provide compassionate, dependable non-medical care in the client's home
  • Assist with activities of daily living as outlined in the care plan
  • Provide dementia-focused companionship and supervision
  • Engage the client in dominoes, games, conversation, and other appropriate activities
  • Encourage social interaction and meaningful engagement
  • Help maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment
  • Assist with mobility and other care needs according to the individualized care plan and training
  • Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping related to the client
  • Follow the client's established routines and care instructions
  • Observe and report changes in behavior, condition, or needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the office
  • Protect the client's dignity, privacy, safety, and independence
  • Maintain professional boundaries and follow company policies
THE RIGHT CAREGIVER WILL BE
  • Patient and compassionate
  • Dependable and responsible
  • Comfortable working with individuals living with dementia
  • Engaging and willing to actively participate in games and activities
  • A good conversationalist who enjoys building relationships
  • Able to remain calm and redirect appropriately when needed
  • Comfortable working independently in a client's home
  • Reliable with dependable transportation
  • Willing to follow an individualized care plan
  • Experienced in dementia care preferred
  • CNA, HHA, Med Tech, or other relevant certification is a plus BUT NOT REQUIRED !
