Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist to join our team and deliver excellent service by welcoming patients, managing appointments, and assisting with administrative tasks. The candidate should possess strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and provide a professional, friendly experience.
  • Register patients and collect/update demographic and insurance information.
  • Schedule, confirm, and modify patient appointments.
  • Manage patient check-in, check-out, and walk-in requests.
  • Follow up on missed appointments and ensure schedules are timely updated.
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments.
  • Assist patients with general payment and insurance-related questions.
  • Answer phones, return messages, and document communications.
  • Respond to EHR messages and administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative teams.
  • Support payment collection, supply tracking, and other front-office duties.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Provide cross-coverage at other clinic locations as needed.
  • Follow organizational policies related to privacy, safety, service, and patient care.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in healthcare, customer service, or administrative setting.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working with EHR systems, scheduling software, and standard office technology.
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • Experience working directly with patients, clients, or the public preferred.
Skills

  • Proficiency in EHR systems and scheduling software.
  • Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
