What

We're Looking For

The Benefits Specialist Senior is responsible for administering, analyzing, and maintaining the health & welfare benefits programs for Intermediate Chemicals Business Segment. This includes health insurance, retirement plans (401k, FSA & HSA), worker's compensation and family leave policies. This position is also responsible for managing annual open enrollment, educating employees, ensuring legal compliance (e.g., FMLA, HIPAA, ACA), and resolving vendor issues.

The position serves as a liaison to employees and external vendors, and other departments.

Key Responsibilities will include the following but not limited to Benefits Administration
  • Manage daily operations and transactions of insurance, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans.
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes and conduct new employee orientation sessions.
  • Conduct regular audits and validations to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Communicate with employees and assist with benefit inquiries and QLEs.
  • Assist with resolving disputes and solving benefits problems.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop and deliver HR metrics and dashboards to support strategic HR programs.
  • Generate custom reports for compliance, headcount, and workforce retention.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes through automation and system enhancements.
  • Support benefit-related projects, including policy development, vendor negotiations, and new system implementations.
Training & Support
  • Provide technical support and training to HR staff and end-users.
  • Create user guides and documentation for system processes.
Compliance & Security
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain system security protocols and manage user access rights.
Collaboration
  • Partner with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and HRBP teams to align system capabilities with business needs.
  • Serve as a functional lead during system implementations and audits.
