About this Role

Quanta Services, South Region is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The Human Resources Generalist provides broad-based, hands-on human resources support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations and leave administration, HRIS data management, and compliance. This is a senior-level, individual-contributor role for an experienced HR generalist who can operate with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment on sensitive employee matters, and serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and frontline leaders.

This position is classified as hourly (non-exempt) and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable federal and state law.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and supervisors on HR policies, procedures, and general HR questions, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Support employee relations efforts, including assisting with workplace investigations, coaching supervisors on conflict resolution and disciplinary actions, and helping resolve employee concerns fairly and confidentially.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle through new-hire onboarding and documentation assistance.
  • Audit employee records in the HRIS, including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, and status changes.
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, EEO, ADA, FMLA) and company policy; assist with audits and required reporting.
  • Prepare HR-related correspondence, reports, and presentations, including turnover, headcount, and other workforce metrics.
  • Support learning and development initiatives, including coordinating training schedules and materials, tracking completion of required and compliance training, and helping identify employee development and upskilling needs.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR department and business objectives.
What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in an HR generalist, HR representative, or HR coordinator role.
  • High school diploma or GED required;
    Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (FLSA, EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) as well as AI tools.
