Human Resources Manager

Position Overview: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with employment regulations. This role provides leadership and strategic direction across all human resources functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, training and development, and HR policy implementation. The HR Manager partners closely with department leaders across the organization to support business objectives, foster a positive workplace culture, and drive organizational effectiveness.

This position also manages and develops HR staff, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all core HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management
  • Work closely with the payroll provider on multi-state payroll tax filings
  • Oversee the process relating to multi-state payroll tax compliance, including the proper setup and maintenance of state tax registrations, timely filing of payroll tax returns, and prompt remittance of tax payments
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee performance, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation
  • Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs, develop recruiting strategies, and oversee the full-cycle talent acquisition process
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; update policies and practices accordingly
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with company objectives and support employee engagement and retention
  • Conduct or oversee internal investigations and ensure thorough and timely resolution of employee concerns or complaints
  • Facilitate training and development programs to support employee growth, management effectiveness, and organizational capability
  • Lead the annual performance review and goal-setting processes
  • Maintain and analyze HR metrics to support strategic planning and identify trends or areas for improvement
  • Manage HR systems and ensure data accuracy for payroll, benefits, reporting, and personnel actions
  • Oversee HR audits, documentation, and reporting to maintain compliance and support business operations
  • Lead or support initiatives related to organizational culture, DEI, recognition, and employee engagement
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required;
    Master's degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, compliance requirements, and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing HR strategies and policies
  • Proficient in HRIS systems (e.g.,
    iSolved
    , ADP, Paycom, Workday) and data reporting
  • Proven ability to lead and develop HR staff and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
