Palantir Ontology Data Engineer

Overview

Greetings from Smartwork IT Services! We are seeking an experienced Palantir Ontology Data Engineer with strong expertise in Palantir Foundry, data modeling, and Python, preferably with Oil & Gas domain experience
, to support a large-scale Carbon Capture & Sequestration (CCS) initiative.

• Contribute to the CCS
  100 Fusion Team by building tools that optimize investment and operational decisions for a large-scale CCS system on the US Gulf Coast
• Design and implement the CCS
  100 application’s data layer using Palantir Foundry, replacing or enhancing existing technologies
• Act as a subject matter expert for Palantir tools, supporting and guiding other team members
• Quickly understand existing CCS
  100 data structures and convert them into Palantir Ontology representations
• Recommend improvements to data models to enhance performance, scalability, flexibility, and extensibility
• Configure reliable and high-performance data ingestion and export pipelines between the Ontology and external data sources
• Implement data validations and transformations leveraging Foundry platform capabilities
• Develop interface code, examples, or utilities to simplify Ontology data access across the broader system
• Collaborate in Agile teams and contribute to technical discussions and solution design

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Multiple years of experience building data-intensive applications or working as a Data Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, with a focus on Ontology Manager and data modeling
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and transformation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly understand complex data architectures
• Experience working in Agile environments with strong communication and collaboration skills
• Oil & Gas industry experience
