Network Security DevOps Engineer

Job Description

• The Network Security Dev Ops Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, administering, and automating firewall security management platforms and network authentication systems.
• This role focuses on Cisco Client administration, firewall policy compliance management, and automation of network security operations using modern Dev Ops practices.
• The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Cisco and Fortinet security technologies, authentication protocols, and infrastructure automation.

• Maintain and operate firewall security management platforms, including Cisco Client, Algosec, and firewall management servers.
• Administer and support the global Cisco Identity Services Engine platform, including Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting services.
• Support 802.1X network access control across wired and wireless environments.
• Manage and support the network privileged  to ensure controlled access to corporate network devices.
• Collaborate with network, network security, and endpoint teams to ensure seamless integration and policy enforcement.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities using Ansible, Python, Terraform, and REST APIs.
• Develop and manage Ansible playbooks for automation deployment.
• Monitor system health, logs, and performance metrics and respond to alerts and incidents.
• Provide change management support for all supported platforms.
• Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotation for AP and NA regions, including weekday and weekend coverage.
• Assess security advisories and software vulnerabilities and implement remediation measures in a timely manner.
• Provide escalation support for critical issues during on-call assignments.

• Strong experience with Cisco and Fortinet network security technologies including Cisco Identity Services Engine, Algosec, Cisco Security Manager, Cisco Firepower Management Center, Forti Manager, and Forti Analyzer.
• Experience with network authentication technologies including 802.1X, TACACS, and RADIUS.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for network access and authentication issues.
• Knowledge of network endpoint profiling.
• Basic experience with AWS cloud technologies including EC2 and VPC.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Hands-on scripting and automation experience using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Git Hub.

• Cisco Identity Services Engine with strong knowledge of 802.1X, TACACS, and RADIUS authentication technologies.
• Firewall Policy Management tools such as Algosec.
• Automation and scripting expertise using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Git Hub.

• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent industry experience in network security and Dev Ops practices may be considered.
