We design and build agile solutions for real world problems in the energy industry, and our talented global team is dedicated to driving digital transformation and operational efficiency for our clients.
What you’ll be doingReporting to the US Delivery Lead, this role is hands‑on and embedded with the delivery team. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and QA to shape backlog items, support sprint execution, and ensure what we build delivers real customer and business value.
We operate with an agile approach tailored to our delivery needs. If you enjoy shaping requirements at a technical depth (APIs, data flows, system constraints) and seeing your user stories land in production regularly, you’ll feel right at home.
- Break complex initiatives into small, shippable increments; craft high‑quality user stories with crisp acceptance criteria.
- Partner with Solution Architects to refine requirements; drive clarity to enable predictable delivery every two weeks.
- Collaborate with QAs to ensure test scenarios align to acceptance criteria and quality gates.
- Engage stakeholders early and often to validate assumptions, manage scope, and integrate feedback quickly.
- Support sprint ceremonies and continuous improvement through retrospectives and delivery metrics.
- Thrive in a distributed team that occasionally meets outside standard hours to collaborate across time zones.
Our people are change makers of the energy future! To thrive at Tally Group, you’ll have strong technical curiosity, a bias for action, and be comfortable pushing back with data. In addition, and specific to this role:
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in an Agile software environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Able to learn the Tally system and become a SME for both the system and US energy market.
- Comfortable working closely with engineers and discussing technical concepts, APIs, data flows, and system constraints.
- Experience writing high‑quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience reviewing QA test results to ensure they align to the acceptance criteria.
- Experience facilitating requirements gathering and creating end‑user documentation.
- Experience facilitating customer UAT triage of issues.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices.
- Strong communication skills and able to bridge the gap between technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong tooling habits (Jira, Excel) and a pragmatic approach to delivery.
- Permanent legal right to work in the US.
- Hybrid role with 3 days in our vibrant office in the beautiful, tree‑filled community of The Woodlands.
- Health insurance options, including for family.
- Employee referral bonuses.
- An annual bonus day off to celebrate you!
- Be part of a team that ships regularly and reliably, not long release cycles.
- Work in a collaborative, outcome‑focused environment with strong engineering practices.
- Opportunities to grow your technical and product skillset.
- Flexible working and a culture that values trust, feedback, and continuous improvement.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
