We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer with a minimum of 5 years of proven, hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying complex analytics solutions in the Power BI Service (cloud) environment. The ideal candidate has deep expertise with modern Power BI capabilities, strong data modeling skills, and experience using Git Hub for source control and collaborative BI development.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain advanced, interactive Power BI dashboards, semantic models and reports with a strong focus on performance, usability, and end‑user experience.
- Build robust semantic data models using Power BI Desktop, including optimized star schemas, DAX measures, calculation groups, and reusable modeling patterns.
- Implement and manage solutions in Power BI Service, including:
Work spaces & deployment pipelines
Data refresh strategies (scheduled refresh, incremental refresh, Direct Query, hybrid models) - Apply latest Power BI features and best practices, such as:
Field Parameters, Power query M scripting.
Dynamic formatting, Optimized ribbon features, Paginated reports, Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate Power BI solutions - Manage version control using Git Hub, including:
Source control for PBIP projects, Branching, pull requests, and code reviews workflows aligned with Power BI deployment pipelines in Git Hub - Conduct performance optimization for large datasets using techniques such as:
Aggregations, Composite models DAX performance tuning - Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable analytics solutions.
- 5+ years of hands-on professional experience developing Power BI solutions.
- Excellent understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, fact/dimension design, normalization).
- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including modern features
- Proven ability to build and optimize data models and write efficient DAX.
- Experience using Git Hub for version control with Power BI PBIP files.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with enterprise data sources
- Ability to collaborate in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Power Query (M language) and transformation best practices.
- Experience with enterprise-scale analytics, large datasets, and performance tuning techniques.
- Strong background in data storytelling, UX/UI for dashboards, and business requirements gathering.
