Job Summary
HP is seeking a Strategy & Planning Principal to join the Office of the CIO (OCIO). This Principal‑level individual contributor plays a critical role in shaping and driving enterprise technology strategy, operating cadence, and execution across highly complex, cross‑organization initiatives. The role partners closely with senior leaders across Digital Technology and business to translate strategy into executable priorities, establish performance mechanisms, and deliver measurable enterprise outcomes.
It demands the ability to manage/direct while proactively building program management and executional capability in others, organize and drive strategic projects, bring deep strategic judgment, strong analytical capability, and the ability to lead through influence in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
- Develop and drive enterprise strategy, priorities and multi‑year plans based on data, analysis, and emerging trends.
- Lead large cross‑functional initiatives that impact long‑term organizational goals; drive scope, governance, execution, and results.
- Design and operate executive‑level operating cadence, including strategic reviews, KPIs, dashboards, and performance forums.
- Establish enterprise metrics and recommend strategies to address performance gaps and risks.
- Drive process standardization, simplification and re‑engineering to improve speed, clarity and execution effectiveness.
- Provide trusted advisory support to Office of the CIO leaders through clear communications and recommendations.
- Lead by influence staff and guiding cross‑org teams, mentoring others, and enabling consistent execution at scale.
- Lead change management and enablement by driving organizational transformation and ensuring effective adoption of new processes and systems.
- Drive cross‑stakeholder communication and alignment for enterprise process management initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, engineering or related field. Typically 10–12+ years of experience in strategy, business planning, consulting, operations or enterprise transformation roles.

The pay range for this role is $,450 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applicable to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
