SCADA Engineer (Ignition)
- Pay Rate: $75.00 - $85.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 12 months
- Location: Spring, TX 77389 (Onsite)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview- Under general supervision, the SCADA Engineer (Ignition) is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting SCADA systems.
- This role involves developing new facilities within Ignition, integrating industrial devices, ensuring system reliability, and troubleshooting communication, database, and configuration issues in a fast‑paced operational environment.
- Create and configure new facilities within the Ignition SCADA platform
- Collaborate with field technicians to test, validate, and troubleshoot new devices
- Work with support teams to ensure 24/7 availability and reliability of SCADA systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
- Communications and connectivity
- Device configurations
- Tag definitions
- SQL database/table entries
- Support integration of various automation controllers and industrial systems
- Partner with project teams, operations, and customers to deliver effective solutions
- Bachelor’s degree required (relevant experience may substitute for degree)
- Strong understanding of database structures and usage
- Experience working with industrial automation controllers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new technologies
- Ignition SCADA
- Industrial Protocols (Modbus, Allen‑Bradley, Emerson, MQTT, DNP3)
- SQL / Database Management
