Job Description
As a senior claims specialist on our team, you’ll play a critical role in our ability to successfully and efficiently resolve injury claims. Investigating complex and high-risk claims—some attorney represented or with litigation features—you’ll consult with police officers, medical professionals, claimants and others involved in the accident. The information gathered will then be used to determine coverage, liability and the total value of the claim.
Hybrid role: report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training and collaboration, with continued coaching from a supportive team. If you prefer an in‑office environment, you may work in the office more than four days per month.
Location:
Open to any Texas claims office area – Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas/Fort Worth, El Paso, Houston, Lubbock, McAllen and San Antonio.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Must-have qualifications:
- Five years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling; or
- Two years in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree; or
- Four years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling and an associate degree.
- Preferred skills:
- Ability to quickly build rapport & successfully effect settlements.
- Strong negotiation and customer‑service skills.
- Excellent organization, problem‑solving, multi‑tasking and prioritization abilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency analyzing coverage and liability.
- Ability to direct discovery tools such as interrogatories, depositions and production of documents.
- $77,000–$93,500 per year (dependent on experience).
- Gainshare annual cash incentive up to 24% of eligible earnings based on company performance.
