Actuarial Manager

DW Simpson is seeking an Actuarial Manager to lead analytics-driven recruiting and advisory support for our actuarial and analytics practices. In this role, you will leverage your actuarial and insurance expertise to advise clients on talent needs, compensation, and market trends while assessing candidate skills and fit across experience levels. You will build and manage deep relationships with insurers, consulting firms, and corporations, collaborating closely with our recruiting team in a professional, growth-oriented, and ethical environment that offers clear opportunities for career advancement and increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead actuarial analytics projects supporting client hiring needs and role scoping
• Advise clients on market compensation, actuarial talent trends, and skill requirements
• Evaluate actuarial and analytics candidates, including resume review and technical screening
• Develop and manage strong relationships with insurers, consulting firms, and corporate clients
• Partner with internal recruiters to match candidates with appropriate actuarial and analytics roles
• Produce market insights using data on placements, salaries, and skill demand
• Support business development through informed candidate and client recommendations
• Mentor junior team members on actuarial market knowledge and recruiting best practices
• Maintain accurate records in CRM/ATS and ensure a high standard of client service
• Uphold ethical recruiting standards and contribute to a collaborative, professional culture
