Join to apply for the Mobile Engineer role s role involves preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. It is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do- Oversee maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility to keep building systems up to applicable standards.
- Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
- Review inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment within design specifications and environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
- Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of the job discipline and related disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values; build consensus and guide teams to agreements.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within one’s own team and related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies and explain difficult or sensitive information.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification and Valid Driver’s license required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
